William Ross served his time as an engineer starting off in a company in Ballymena, learning and operating many different machines. He then moved on to another company installing and fixing industrial plants in Northern Ireland and throughout the UK.

William also worked from home after working hours making gates and railings to the public and contractors. This business grew and he then started his own business in 2003 and ran this for six years. The business made gates, spiral staircases, industrial steel work, fire escapes, and supplying employees to factories for engineering services. When the downturn of the economy hit, William closed the business due to the impact of contractors and other businesses closing.

He then went to work at other companies as a maintenance manager. This allowed him to gain valuable experience and knowledge in these factories.

William then started working weekends at plants, fixing them when they weren’t running. He was then offered a contract from doing this allowing him to leave his job and starting up Ross Companies Limited in 2017.

Now Ross Companies has employees who can carry out maintenance services and fabricate products enabling us to supply parts to various businesses.
